Chief
Meet your future best friend! Chief is a charming 5 year old mixed breed with a sweet bully face and a heart full of love. He’s an inquisitive and loyal companion who thrives on being with his person, whether you’re hanging out at home, running errands, or heading out for a walk. While not overly active, Chief loves his walks and they’re truly when he’s at his happiest! He would do best in a home with a family that enjoys including him in their daily activities. Chief currently goes to work with his foster mom every day, where he enjoys morning puppuccino stops and mid day walks. He’s crate and potty trained, sleeps soundly in his big dog bed at night, and listens exceptionally well to his name. He knows the commands “sit” and “crate,” and is motivated by praise and snacks. Kongs are his all time favorite toy especially when stuffed as a special treat when crated and he also loves treat puzzles and enrichment activities that keep his mind active. A total ladies’ man, Chief is very affectionate with women and bonds quickly. He can be wary around some men due to a history of abuse, and may need a little extra patience and gentle handling to feel safe and secure. With his size (50lbs) and strength, along with his goofy personality, Chief might be too much for small children, so a home with teens or older kids would be ideal or a adult only home. Above all, he truly adores his people and thrives on snuggles, belly rubs, and spending quality time together. Chief does well cohabitating with medium to low energy dogs, including adults, seniors, and smaller breeds. He isn’t particularly interested in playing with other dogs, and would do best in a home without large male dogs or those who are dominant. However, he’s done well walking past and meeting calm, larger males in controlled settings. If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion who will be by your side through every adventure, Chief is ready to join your family. Chief is currently being fostered in North Carolina and may transport along the East Coast as far north as Maine to his adoptive home. Think you’re the perfect match for this lovable guy? Ronnie
Meet Ronnie! This big, snuggly lapdog is ready to fill your days with endless joy and love. At just 3 years old, Ronnie has a huge heart and an even bigger smile. All he wants is to soak up as much love as he can, play, and enjoy some tasty treats. Sliced pieces of apples, strawberries and watermelon are his favorite go to snacks. Ronnie loves being the center of attention and can often be found soaking up the sun while he basks in his favorite spot. Despite not having the best start to life, Ronnie’s heart is full of love for everyone he meets. He’s not holding any grudges and is always ready to share his affection. Ronnie does need some space to get to know new dogs. He has made doggie friends before though he would do best as the only dog in the home or with a submissive female dog as a companion. As for his fetch skills, let’s just say Ronnie’s goofiness and enthusiasm make up for his coordination! He sometimes gets the job done, but he’s more about the fun and entertainment. Ronnie’s loving, playful, and deserving of a furever home where he can get all the love he missed out on.
Ronnie’s adoption fee has been partially sponsored, with $300 covered, so now’s the perfect time to make him a part of your family.
Ronnie is currently fostered in South Carolina but can be transported along the East Coast to his new family, as far North as Maine.
Don’t miss the chance to bring this happy guy into your life!
See what Ronnie’s friends have to say about him below!
I am Ronnie’s current foster mom. He is AMAZING! He REALLY loves his foster dad. Honestly, anybody that sits on the couch with Ronnie becomes a bestie. If you talk to him, he listens with every ounce of himself. If you want to show him something or teach him something, he is more than eager to watch and let you show him over and over with his full attention. Ronnie is so exceptional. Am I biased? Yes. Because I have been honored to be his mom and thoroughly enjoy this boy’s unconditional happiness and love. Seeing him experience a situation when he knows he is safe, is so rewarding. Ronnie is potty trained, crate trained and knows sit and stay. UTD on everything medical.
… and …
I got to host Ronnie in my home for a quick sleepover. He was a good boy and settled in nicely. We enjoyed the day together by running errands around town which Ronnie did great for the car ride, jumping easily in and out at our stops. He walked nicely on the leash with minimal pulling. Ronnie did meet my female pittie and they did well wandering the backyard together. At night Ronnie easily went into the crate and slept soundlessly through the night. It was a little chilly during his stay so Ronnie let me dress him in doggie pajamas! It was so precious and he didn’t mind at all. I know this boy will be such a great companion and hope he finds his furever home soon!
