Bruno
This boy is a lover! Meet Bruno! He adores his humans and has never met a stranger. Bruno is exuberant and excited about life. At 65lbs, he’s not really a lap dog but he would be if he could fit! Bruno gets along with other dogs, and loves to play with other dogs who are willing to play with him. Bruno has one of the most irresistible faces with is big smile and one ear that mostly stands straight up while the other ear flops. Bruno loves treats and toys. He loves staying cool in the South Carolina heat with frozen treats. Bruno loves to run after a thrown object, but hasn’t quite grasped the concept of “fetching” just yet. Bruno walks fairly well on a leash and is currently practicing not pulling. More practice will be needed, as Bruno mostly potties and plays in the fenced yard in his foster home with little opportunity to practice walking on the leash. Bruno is already house trained and crate trained. Generally, his foster family has been able to leave Bruno loose in the house without him getting into any trouble. Due to Bruno’s exuberant nature and lack of insight regarding his size, we do recommend children 10 years and older. Bruno’s favorite place to hang out is the couch. He sprawls across his foster’s sectional, but no worries, he happily makes space for his people! Bruno shows his love for his people with lots of sweet kisses and cuddles. Bruno is so excited to meet his future family! Is that you? Send in your adoption application today at www.underhoundrailroad.org. Bruno is currently being fostered in South Carolina and may transport along the East Coast as far North as Maine to his adoptive home.

Chief
Meet Chief, a loving and spirited sweetheart! This darling boy is not only clever and energetic but gets along fantastically other other female dogs. Chief has also cohabitated peacefully with two male dogs that were smaller than him. Chief would thrive in an active home with another medium to high-energy dog or as the only dog with plenty of exercise. Because of his energy level, Chief is seeking an adult-only home or those with children aged teens and above. Chief is crate and house-trained, making the transition to his furever home even smoother, especially with his food motivation! His favorite activities include playing fetch, tossing his durable toys in the air, and chewing on a peanut butter-filled Kong. If you can throw a tennis ball, you’ll have a friend for life in Chief! Chief is friendly and super affectionate. He cherishes his people and delights in snuggles and belly rubs. Chief sleeps contently in his crate through the night but prefers the companionship of his humans as much as possible during the day. Don’t hesitate to send in your application for Chief at https://underhoundrailroad.org/adoption-application/.

Chyanne
Chyanne will capture your heart with her deep golden soulful eyes and her gentle sweetness. 4 year old Chyanne is shy around new people at first, but when she opens up, this brown beauty will melt your heart! She will give you a look of utter adoration and affection once you gain her trust. She will lovingly sit next to you on the couch, rest her front paws and head and nuzzle into your lap for cuddles and head rubs. As Chyanne gets accustomed to her surroundings, she will show you her fun & playful side. Chyanne likes to chase her ball around the room, playing with her chew toys and self-entertaining herself. She will occasionally come up to you pressing her wet nose to you to say hello before returning to her bed or chew toys. This beautiful girl is potty-trained and crate trained and will sleep throughout the night with no fuss. She barks only when there is a strange sound or unfamiliar noise outside the house, warning off any “intruders”! Chyanne is a foodie, who loves her veggies and fruits. Chyanne has started to enjoy walks around the neighborhood and gets super excited when she knows she gets to go on a car ride with her foster family. For potty break, she will run in the yard before enthusiastically and excitedly running back to the house to be let in. “Such a gentle soul!” – NC Volunteer
“I adore Gobi so much from the first time I meet him. He was a little shy when first meeting him, but I totally understand being shy around new people. His eyes! They are so beautiful and he is just a handsome boy in general. Gobi did great for walks and car rides too! Enjoyed treats and loved his stuff animal. It was so cute to see him carrying his stuff animal around while wagging his tail the whole time.” – NC Volunteer
“Gobi is just a sweet gentle little man. He was a little out of sorts on Friday (just arrived in Maine from transport) but settled in very quickly. He is super well behaved with the girls, starting to play with Noodles and is full of zoomies when he goes outside.” – Maine Foster
Rex
Traditional and classic is just what you will get with all around good boy Rex. Rex is a 3 year old handsome fella with a athletic build with a big adorable head to match. Rex had a difficult and sad past but Rex is now thriving and working hard. He has had professional training, and this buddy loves to train and learn new things! Rex enjoys toys, especially a Kong filled with peanut butter or any type of puzzle game. Rex would make a great walking companion and is very well leashed trained. Rex listens to commands well and knows when its time to go into his crate. For short periods of time Rex has done well left out of his crate without any attempts to chew or eat anything he isn’t supposed to. Rex lives with several other dogs in his foster home, and has done with with male and females dogs that are a bit smaller in stature than him. Rex would be excellent partner for an active individual or family who loves to spend time continuing to adventure and train! Rocky *Courtesy post*
This is a courtesy post for a dog in need in southern New Hampshire. He is able to travel to Maine, Rhode Island or Connecticut.
Rocky is a 9 year old gentle soul looking for his forever home. His Dad sadly passed away and he needs a new lap to snuggle. He would prefer a nice, quiet setting but respectful older kids (over 13 preferable) and maybe a calm cat companion would be ok. Rocky lived with a cat for short time, but a slow introduction would be needed.
Up to date on shots, neutered, loves snuggles, likes walks and backyard play.
Does not get along with other dogs.

Ronnie
Meet Ronnie! A happy fella ready to fill your days with endless joy and love. Ronnie is a big, snuggly, lapdog with a huge smile. All this 2-year-old wants is to soak up as much love as he can, play, and eat treats. Ronnie loves strawberries and watermelon, but not green beans – just a FYI. Sliced apples are his favorite. This handsome fella loves to be the center of attention and sunbathing. Ronnie did not have a good start to life – pretty bad actually. Yet, his huge heart will not let him hold any grudges. He loves everyone anyway. Ronnie does need some space to get to know new dogs, especially larger dogs like him. He had doggie friends in his past life and some he loved, unfortunately, some were not nice to him. Ronnie has got along well with several female and male dogs including a few rambunctious puppies. Though Ronnie is not dominant we do not recommend he goes to a home with a dominant dog in the home. Coordination is one thing that Ronnie should not put on his resume. Playing fetch – he gets the job done, sometimes, but the goofiness and enthusiasm make for top-notch entertainment. Ronnie is certainly deserving a furever home to show him endless love. Send in your adoption application for Ronnie today at www.underhoundrailroad.org.
Ronnie is currently being fostered in North Carolina and may be transported along the East Coast as far North as Maine to his adoptive home.
See what Ronnie’s friends have to say about him below!
“I am Ronnie’s current foster mom. He is AMAZING! He REALLY loves his foster dad. Honestly, anybody that sits on the couch with Ronnie becomes a bestie. If you talk to him, he listens with every ounce of himself. If you want to show him something or teach him something, he is more than eager to watch and let you show him over and over with his full attention. Ronnie is so exceptional. Am I biased? Yes. Because I have been honored to be his mom and thoroughly enjoy this boy’s unconditional happiness and love. Seeing him experience a situation when he knows he is safe, is so rewarding. Ronnie is potty trained, crate trained and knows sit and stay. UTD on everything medical.”
“I got to host Ronnie in my home for a quick sleepover. He was a good boy and settled in nicely. We enjoyed the day together by running errands around town which Ronnie did great for the car ride, jumping easily in and out at our stops. He walked nicely on the leash with minimal pulling. Ronnie did meet my female pittie and they did well wandering the backyard together. At night Ronnie easily went into the crate and slept soundlessly through the night. It was a little chilly during his stay so Ronnie let me dress him in doggie pajamas! It was so precious and he didn’t mind at all. I know this boy will be such a great companion and hope he finds his furever home soon!”

Tinkerbell
Ready to be your sidekick and your furever friend, meet Tinkerbell! Tinkerbell is a 4 year old pittie with a sleek black coat that shines just like her personality! Tinkerbell is the perfect blend of calm and playfulness! She is super playful, running around in a fenced in yard while entertaining herself by playing catch alone or eager to have the ball tossed to chase after. Tinkerbell is also super chill in the house. She thinks she is a lapdog and adores cuddling on the couch and giving her full attention to her humans. Tinkerbell would do best in a home with one other dog, or wouldn’t mind being your one and only fur companion. She gets along with mild-mannered dogs, who are not dominant and who respect her cues to give her space. She gets a bit nervous and scared when dogs meet or run at her too quickly. Tinkerbell just needs a slow and steady introduction to other dogs, then she is ready to be friends. Tinkerbell playmates have included a 5 month old female puppy, and also several other adult aged female and male rescue dogs. Tinkerbell is great for her vet visits and knows that tasty treats are waiting for her. She loves meeting people and having visitors over, even has done well with kids. Tinkerbell is at the top of her game, she is crate and house trained. She has even undergone a professional dog training program. She enjoys going out for leisurely or brisk walks and does well on the leash. Her favorite treats include yogurt, peanut butter and all other treats besides veggies or fruits! Tinkerbell enjoys all enrichment toys and a Kong stuffed with delicious goodies! Tinkerbell has truly come a long way from being a stray and uncatchable for 8 months, until giving birth underneath a shed. At that time she was finally ready and trusting to be rescued. Tinkerbell has truly thrived in foster care, and is ready to make a lasting impression on the lucky family that adopts her. Wednesday
It’s the perfect day for you to meet Wednesday! Unexpectedly joining Underhound Railroad at just 5 weeks old, Wednesday is a precious pup with black fur and white tipped marking on her back paws. She’s currently learning the house rules, like pottying outside and slowly being introduced to a crate. When home alone Wednesday has a puppy pen that she is placed in while she is eagerly eating meals in her crate. Wednesday is a playful pup who wants to be on the go and not much stops her! She learned to go up and down the stairs on the second day in her foster home. She is confident playing with other dogs and would enjoy having another fur sibling in the home. Wednesday needs lots of potty break throughout the day, which she quickly does her business outside then is ready to play. Thankfully she’s only required one midnight potty break so far otherwise is sleeping through the night. Wednesday has gone on a few leashed walks in the neighborhood and got the hang of the harness and leash on day one! Wednesday is a spirited puppy that is all silliness and antics until she crashes! She does love to cuddle close and nuzzling into a neck is her favorite place to make herself comfy. Wednesday is seeking a family ready to help her grow into the best furever family member. She is accepting adoption applications at www.underhoundrailroad.org and will be ready to go to her forever home at 8 weeks old.
