Luna is a stunning 4-year-old “Pitsky” (Pit Bull/Husky mix) weighing just under 50 lbs—the perfect size for snuggles and adventures. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who has already completed an 8-week board-and-train program using positive reinforcement. She’s been continuing her training with her professional trainer, so she’s more than ready to show off her skills in a home of her own. Luna is house- and crate-trained, knows basic commands like sit, down, and shake, and is highly food- and treat-motivated—making training both fun and rewarding. She loves long walks, hikes, and yard play, and would thrive with daily enrichment activities like nose work or scent games.

Home Requirements: ·

• She will do better as the only pet
• Luna would like an active, experienced dog owner who is home often
• She would love a fenced yard but not required
• Luna should not live with cats, small dogs, or farm animals
• Luna is a total people-lover—she’s always excited to make new human friends and travel for new adventures. In the car, she’ll need to be safely crated or tethered in a car seat since her enthusiasm can get the best of her.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Luna was found as a stray in horrible condition and ended up in a rural county shelter.    Best Friend Pet Adoption was happy to bring her into our rescue and give her the medical care needed to blossom into a the pretty girl she is now.     Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary, NC, as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hour’s drive of Cary NC.
