Volunteer Info
We need Volunteers!
We operate solely on volunteer willpower. Our volunteers can be local to our foster communities in North Carolina or Maine, or we can have volunteers from all over the world thanks to technology!
At the moment, we are especially looking for a transportation coordinator.
No experience needed just a willingness to help and stay organized! Out of state transports happen roughly every 4–6 weeks, and you’d help by coordinating with fellow fosters, adopters, and transporters. It’s mostly logistics (we’ll help guide you!), and it makes a huge difference in getting our dogs to their furever homes.
It’s even better if you’re also willing to help coordinate:
- Freedom rides
- Foster to foster transports
- Vet transports
If you’ve been looking for a way to help behind the scenes we would love to have you step in! We will train you to get you up to speed!

Some of the ways we always need help:
- Processing foster and adoption applications and conducting home visits
- Responding to adoption applicants
- Foster and rescue coordinators
- Grant writing and fundraising
- Volunteer organizers to help with adoption events, fundraising events and annual celebrations
- Social Media – are you an Instagram or Facebook whiz?
- Connections to business, sponsorships, legal council, accounting, non profit advisors etc.
- Transport drivers
- Monthly newsletter editor and content creation
- So many ways to help! Tell us what you have to offer…
