Tinkerbell

She’s the perfect blend of calm and playfulness—enjoying running around a fenced yard playing catch by herself or eagerly waiting for someone to toss the ball for her. One of her absolute favorite pastimes? Chasing the water hose! She’ll leap, spin, and splash in pure joy, making it a fun and hilarious way to spend time outdoors together. Inside, Tinkerbell is as chill as they come, thinking she’s a lapdog and loving to cuddle on the couch, giving her full attention to her humans. Tinkerbell would thrive as the only dog in the home, but she can also get along with one other dog, especially if they’re mild-mannered and respect her space with slow and steady introductions. Tinkerbell loves meeting new people, and has even done well with kids. She’s already crate and house trained and has even completed a professional dog training program. Tinkerbell enjoys leisurely or brisk walks. Her favorite treats include yogurt, peanut butter, and anything delicious—except for veggies or fruits! She loves enrichment toys, especially Kongs stuffed with tasty goodies. This sweet girl has come a long way from her rough beginnings. Tinkerbell was once a stray, uncatchable for 8 months, and gave birth underneath a shed before finally trusting enough to be rescued. Bruno
Meet Bruno! He’s a lovable, playful guy with an infectious smile and a heart full of joy. At 65 lbs, Bruno isn’t exactly a lap dog though he wishes he could be! He definitely loves to shower his humans with affection. Bruno is friendly with everyone he meets and never a stranger to anyone. We think he’d do best as the only dog in the home. With slow and proper introductions, Bruno can make new friends with other dogs that are willing to join in on the fun. Bruno has the most adorable face with one ear that stands up and the other that flops—how cute is that? He’s a big fan of treats, toys, and frozen goodies to help him stay cool. While he loves to run after thrown objects, he’s still figuring out the whole “fetching” thing. Bruno walks well on a leash but needs more practice with not pulling since his current foster home has a nice fenced yard where he spends most of his time. He’s house trained and crate trained, and when left loose in the house, he behaves himself like a good boy. Bruno would thrive in a home with kids aged 10 and older due to his exuberance and his not-so-small size. His favorite spot to relax? The couch! Bruno loves sprawling out on the sectional, though he’s always happy to make room for his people. He’s also a big fan of giving sweet kisses and cuddles to show his love.

Birdie

Rescued alongside her brother while shivering in the cold, Birdie has blossomed into a joyful, affectionate companion. She’s house and crate trained, and cat friendly too! Birdie gets along wonderfully with her foster dog siblings and enjoys zooming around the yard playing tag. When the fun winds down, she’s happy to lounge on the couch, keeping an eye on her foster mom and doggie friends. She’s the perfect mix of playful energy and cozy companionship. Birdie can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but her excitement shines through once she warms up. She’s affectionate, loves belly rubs, and thrives on being close to her humans. Pinky
Meet Pinky, your future best friend and the ultimate bundle of joy! At 3 years old, this sweet 45 pound pocket pittie is full of love, energy, and all the good vibes you could ask for. Pinky is a total fetch fanatic and would happily chase a ball for hours if you let her. But do not worry, she doesn’t need constant activity to be happy. She’s perfectly content with a few play sessions, some enrichment activities, and plenty of snuggles in between. She does love staying mentally engaged. Her favorite ways to burn energy these include sniff and seek games. When she is not on the hunt for hidden treats, you’ll find her lounging with a chew bone or taking a well earned nap. This girl is a model of good behavior as she’s crate trained, potty trained and has mastered the art of the “place” command, so she knows exactly where to relax until you tell her it’s playtime. Pinky is a graduate of the Ultimate Dog Package Training Program at Proactive Dog Training in Cary, NC, where she learned to be the perfect companion. She knows all the essential commands: sit, down, stay, here, yes, no, and out. Cuddles? Pinky is a pro. She’ll keep you warm and loved, no matter the season. While Pinky grew up with a dog and a cat, she wasn’t socialized with other dogs as a pup, so she’s still a work in progress when it comes to meeting new furry friends. She’s fine with walks, but dog parks are still a little too much for her. She currently lives with another dog but would thrive as the one and only pup in your household. She’s ready to be the queen of your castle! Pinky would love to find a active family who she can play fetch with or even go on jogs with. Her big, round eyes? Think soft tapioca pearls—soulful, sweet, and totally irresistible. This gentle girl lives for life’s simple pleasures: sunny naps, slow strolls, and quality time with her people. She’s calm, easygoing, and full of quiet affection. Maverick
Meet Maverick, but you can call him Mav! This handsome fella is the total package. Mav is playful, affectionate, and absolutely full of personality. At 1.5 years old, he’s past the puppy stage but still has all the goofy, fun-loving energy you’d expect from a young Lab/Shepherd mix. (His breed is our best guess based on his looks. Whatever he is, he’s 100% adorable!) Mav loves to zoom around the yard, play with his toys (especially chew toys and stuffies!), and soak up every bit of attention from his humans. His all-time favorite is his beloved Lambchop stuffie! He’s crate trained, potty trained, and eager to please, making him a quick learner and a great candidate for continuing training with his furever human. When playtime’s over, Mav knows how to settle down and enjoys lounging nearby, soaking up the love. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love to have a dog sibling to romp around with. Mav has done well with smaller dogs too especially those who enjoy a good game of chase in the yard. He’s still learning the art of respectful play and occasionally needs a gentle reminder to dial back his excitement with more reserved pups. At around 50lbs, Mav is full grown, but his heart and personality are anything but small. Chief
Meet your future best friend! Chief is a charming 5 year old mixed breed with a sweet bully face and a heart full of love. He’s an inquisitive and loyal companion who thrives on being with his person, whether you’re hanging out at home, running errands, or heading out for a walk. While not overly active, Chief loves his walks and they’re truly when he’s at his happiest! He would do best in a home with a family that enjoys including him in their daily activities. Chief currently goes to work with his foster mom every day, where he enjoys morning puppuccino stops and mid day walks. He’s crate and potty trained, sleeps soundly in his big dog bed at night, and listens exceptionally well to his name. He knows the commands “sit” and “crate,” and is motivated by praise and snacks. Kongs are his all time favorite toy especially when stuffed as a special treat when crated and he also loves treat puzzles and enrichment activities that keep his mind active. A total ladies’ man, Chief is very affectionate with women and bonds quickly. He can be wary around some men due to a history of abuse, and may need a little extra patience and gentle handling to feel safe and secure. With his size (50lbs) and strength, along with his goofy personality, Chief might be too much for small children, so a home with teens or older kids would be ideal or a adult only home. Above all, he truly adores his people and thrives on snuggles, belly rubs, and spending quality time together. Chief does well cohabitating with medium to low energy dogs, including adults, seniors, and smaller breeds. He isn’t particularly interested in playing with other dogs, and would do best in a home without large male dogs or those who are dominant. However, he’s done well walking past and meeting calm, larger males in controlled settings.
