Birdie

Meet Birdie, a 8 month old mixed breed sweetheart with a heart full of love! Rescued alongside her brother while shivering in the cold, Birdie has blossomed into a playful, affectionate companion. She adores romping around with her foster dog siblings and is perfectly happy sharing her space with cats. Birdie loves to play tag and has a blast running around with her friends. She’s full of energy and loves being part of the fun! Birdie also has a gentle side and is a big fan of cuddling and getting belly rubs. She’s super affectionate and loves spending time with her humans. When out on walks, she does great on a leash, enjoying the chance to meet new dogs and people along the way. Birdie would thrive in a home with at least one other dog to keep her company and share in her playful spirit. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun addition to your pack, Birdie might just be the perfect match for you! Birdie is currently being fostered in North Carolina but can be transported as far North as Maine to her forever home. Ready to make Birdie part of your family? Apply today!  Don’t miss out on this sweet girl. She’s ready to bring love and joy to her new home!

Bruno

Meet Bruno! He’s a lovable, playful guy with an infectious smile and a heart full of joy. At 65 lbs, Bruno isn’t exactly a lap dog though he wishes he could be! He definitely loves to shower his humans with affection. Bruno is friendly with everyone he meets and never a stranger to anyone. We think he’d do best as the only dog in the home. With slow and proper introductions, Bruno can make new friends with other dogs that are willing to join in on the fun. Bruno has the most adorable face with one ear that stands up and the other that flops—how cute is that? He’s a big fan of treats, toys, and frozen goodies to help him stay cool. While he loves to run after thrown objects, he’s still figuring out the whole “fetching” thing. Bruno walks well on a leash but needs more practice with not pulling since his current foster home has a nice fenced yard where he spends most of his time. He’s house trained and crate trained, and when left loose in the house, he behaves himself like a good boy. Bruno would thrive in a home with kids aged 10 and older due to his exuberance and his not-so-small size. His favorite spot to relax? The couch! Bruno loves sprawling out on the sectional, though he’s always happy to make room for his people. He’s also a big fan of giving sweet kisses and cuddles to show his love.

Bruno is so ready to meet his furever family, and his adoption fee has been partially sponsored, with $300 of the fee covered, so now’s the perfect time to make him part of your family. Ready to make Bruno’s dreams come true? Apply for adoption today at www.underhoundrailroad.org!

Bruno is currently fostered in South Carolina but can be transported along the East Coast to his new family, as far North as Maine. Don’t miss out on this happy boy who’s excited to share his love and energy with you!

Bruno is currently being fostered in South Carolina and may transport along the East Coast as far North as Maine to his adoptive home.

Elle

Elle is an 8 year old Lab mix with a heart full of love and a calm, easygoing vibe. She enjoys the simple things in life, like hanging out with her family, taking walks around the block, and soaking up the sun during a relaxing sunbath. Elle is a sweet, gentle soul who’s ready to share all that love with her furever family. Elle is currently being fostered in North Carolina, but don’t worry, she can be transported to her new home. She gets along great with other dogs, but she’d also be perfectly happy as your one and only. Elle absolutely loves attention – pets, gentle hugs, you name it – and she’ll show her appreciation with plenty of kisses and loyal companionship. Elle is undergoing treatment for heartworm, which is a totally manageable condition, and she’s already on her way to a full recovery. Maverick

Meet Maverick, but you can call him Mav! This handsome fella is the total package! He is playful, affectionate, and full of personality! Around a year old, Mav is past the tiny puppy stage but still has all the fun, goofy energy you would expect from a young lab mix. He loves zooming around the yard, tossing toys in the air, and soaking up every bit of attention from his humans. Mav is also a pro at downtime. Once the play is done, he is all about lounging close by and soaking up the love. He gets along great with other dogs and is learning the ropes of respectful play (sometimes older pups remind him to dial it back a bit!). Mav is the perfect fella who is smart, eager to please, and ready to learn all the good boy things you want to teach him. He is full grown and around 50lbs , but don’t worry, his personality is anything but small! If you are looking for a loyal sidekick with charm, smarts, and a tail that never stops wagging, Mav just might be your perfect match. Pinky

Meet Pinky, your future best friend and the ultimate bundle of joy! At 3 years old, this sweet 45 pound pocket pittie is full of love, energy, and all the good vibes you could ask for. Pinky is a fetch fanatic and would be more than happy to toss that ball around with you all day. When she’s not catching her favorite toy, she’s either chewing on her bones or taking a well deserved nap because even a go-getter like Pinky needs her beauty sleep. This girl is a model of good behavior as she’s crate trained, potty trained and has mastered the art of the “place” command, so she knows exactly where to relax until you tell her it’s playtime. Pinky is a graduate of the Ultimate Dog Package Training Program at Proactive Dog Training in Cary, NC, where she learned to be the perfect companion. She knows all the essential commands: sit, down, stay, here, yes, no, and out. Cuddles? Pinky is a pro. She’ll keep you warm and loved, no matter the season. While Pinky grew up with a dog and a cat, she wasn’t socialized with other dogs as a pup, so she’s still a work in progress when it comes to meeting new furry friends. She’s fine with walks, but dog parks are still a little too much for her. She currently lives with another dog but would thrive as the one and only pup in your household. She’s ready to be the queen of your castle! Pinky would love to find a active family who she can play fetch with or even go on jogs with. Ready for a life full of love, laughter, and a whole lot of playtime? Pinky is waiting to bring her sunshine into your home! Pinky is currently being fostered in North Carolina and can transport as far North as Maine to to adoptive family.

Ronnie

Meet Ronnie! This big, snuggly lapdog is ready to fill your days with endless joy and love. At just 3 years old, Ronnie has a huge heart and an even bigger smile. All he wants is to soak up as much love as he can, play, and enjoy some tasty treats. Sliced pieces of apples, strawberries and watermelon are his favorite go to snacks. Ronnie loves being the center of attention and can often be found soaking up the sun while he basks in his favorite spot. Despite not having the best start to life, Ronnie’s heart is full of love for everyone he meets. He’s not holding any grudges and is always ready to share his affection. Ronnie does need some space to get to know new dogs. He has made doggie friends before though he would do best as the only dog in the home or with a submissive female dog as a companion. As for his fetch skills, let’s just say Ronnie’s goofiness and enthusiasm make up for his coordination! He sometimes gets the job done, but he’s more about the fun and entertainment. Ronnie’s loving, playful, and deserving of a furever home where he can get all the love he missed out on.

Ronnie’s adoption fee has been partially sponsored, with $300 covered, so now’s the perfect time to make him a part of your family.

Ronnie is currently fostered in South Carolina but can be transported along the East Coast to his new family, as far North as Maine.

Don’t miss the chance to bring this happy guy into your life!

See what Ronnie’s friends have to say about him below!

I am Ronnie’s current foster mom. He is AMAZING! He REALLY loves his foster dad. Honestly, anybody that sits on the couch with Ronnie becomes a bestie. If you talk to him, he listens with every ounce of himself. If you want to show him something or teach him something, he is more than eager to watch and let you show him over and over with his full attention. Ronnie is so exceptional. Am I biased? Yes. Because I have been honored to be his mom and thoroughly enjoy this boy’s unconditional happiness and love. Seeing him experience a situation when he knows he is safe, is so rewarding. Ronnie is potty trained, crate trained and knows sit and stay. UTD on everything medical.

… and …

I got to host Ronnie in my home for a quick sleepover. He was a good boy and settled in nicely. We enjoyed the day together by running errands around town which Ronnie did great for the car ride, jumping easily in and out at our stops. He walked nicely on the leash with minimal pulling. Ronnie did meet my female pittie and they did well wandering the backyard together. At night Ronnie easily went into the crate and slept soundlessly through the night. It was a little chilly during his stay so Ronnie let me dress him in doggie pajamas! It was so precious and he didn’t mind at all. I know this boy will be such a great companion and hope he finds his furever home soon!

Tinkerbell

Ready to be your sidekick and forever friend, meet Tinkerbell! Tinkerbell is a 5 year old pittie with a sleek black coat that shines as brightly as her personality! She’s the perfect blend of calm and playfulness—enjoying running around a fenced yard playing catch by herself or eagerly waiting for someone to toss the ball for her. Inside, Tinkerbell is as chill as they come, thinking she’s a lapdog and loving to cuddle on the couch, giving her full attention to her humans. Tinkerbell would thrive as the only dog in the home, but she can also get along with one other dog, especially if they’re mild-mannered and respect her space. She gets a bit nervous when dogs rush at her too quickly, so slow and steady introductions are a must. Tinkerbell loves meeting new people, and has even done well with kids. She’s already crate and house trained and has even completed a professional dog training program. Tinkerbell enjoys leisurely or brisk walks. Her favorite treats include yogurt, peanut butter, and anything delicious—except for veggies or fruits! She loves enrichment toys, especially Kongs stuffed with tasty goodies. This sweet girl has come a long way from her rough beginnings. Tinkerbell was once a stray, uncatchable for 8 months, and gave birth underneath a shed before finally trusting enough to be rescued. Since then, she’s thrived in foster care and is now ready to find her forever family.

Tinkerbell’s adoption fee has been partially sponsored with $150 covered, so now’s the perfect time to bring her into your life!

Tinkerbell is currently fostered in Denver, North Carolina but can be transported along the East Coast, as far North as Maine. Come make her journey from rescue dog to forever home a reality!
